ENTERING A NEW EVENT


CORONA VIRUS CRISIS. There is a new question called STATUS. If it is uncertain whether or not your event will take place, then enter PROPOSED. Otherwise enter CONFIRMED.
EVENTS are Concerts, plays, demonstrations, exhibitions etc. Note: Gen Meetings, AGMs, rehearsals, etc are NOT EVENTS.
We are now allowing Workshops as EVENTS, but they must have a Theme and the name of the tutor or person running it.
HELP There are helpful hints and tips which may save you a lot of typing. You can turn these off or on.

N.B.A Drop down list will appear which contains a list of ALL registered Societies and anyone with Full Membership. If your name or your society's name is not on the list you can EITHER Have your event listed as a non-member. There is a charge of £10 per entry for this service. Send a message to us using the Contact Us page. OR Join the HAA as a member. Go to Membership at the top of this page, and select 'Join The HAA'. OR check with your Treasurer in case membership has lapsed because of unpaid membership fees. OR For any other query use the Contact Us page.

VENUE This uses a 'Auto-Suggest', so just start typing the name of the venue and it will suggest the rest of the details. Just click on it. Most venues are on the list, but if it is a new one, just continue to enter the details, and they will appear next time you enter an event.

DATE OF EVENT You will see a small red box. Click on this and a calender will come up. Just click on the day and the date will be entered for you.

STATUS. If it is not certain that this event will take place - then select PROPOSED. Otherwise select CONFIRMED.

TYPE. Please select one of those shown

TITLE. Keep it short!! Suggestions are 'PAINTING EXHIBITION', 'A COMEDY', 'JAZZ CONCERT', 'ORCHESTRAL CONCERT','CRAFT MARKET'. It has to fit on one line.

EVENT. Also keep it short. For extra wording use the Blue Box below.

ENQUIRIES. It is your responsibility to make sure the person who owns the tel No./ Email Address/etc. is agreeable that it can be displayed for the public to use. You must not assume it is OK by default.

TIMES.We advise using the 12hr. system e.g. 7-30pm` Clicking in the box brings up text that you have used before. Select any one to save typing it again.

PRICES.Clicking in the box brings up text that you have used before. Select any one to save typing it again.

CONCESSIONS.Clicking in the box brings up text that you have used before. Select any one to save typing it again.

BOX OFFICE. Clicking in the box brings up text that you have used before. Select any one to save typing it again.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS. In the Blue box below you can enter text as you would in WORD or a text editor. Different fonts, sizes, colours, as well as numbered lists and even smiley faces are possible.
ONLY PRESS ENTER AT END OF A PARAGRAPH.
(Maximum 50,000 characters). Do not use Keyboard shortcuts. If you are cutting and pasting text from WORD then select 'PASTE from WORD' Shows clipboard with W on it.

AGREED. If you have registered as a User for your society then this will show Yes, If not it will show UV (unvetted) as it will have to be checked for suitability for publication. Once shecked this will change to Yes or Not Agreed.
